Creating Amazing Experiences for Families & Communities

BOOM-ivation

Boomers like to improvise, innovate & solve problems - together. We like to work smarter for exponentially better outcomes. Whatever impacts our BoomTown families, communities & our world, BoomTownLOVE is committed to Creating Amazing Experiences by driving greater connection & improved quality of life through initiatives that lift us all.

Starting at Home:

BoomTown creates better ways to help people find homes, as we believe that is the most important factor in determining quality of life for our community. So whether it’s responding to a natural disaster, or improving living conditions for those in our community - finding, preserving & protecting home is our ethos. See our United Way Day of Caring team creating a garden at the Joseph Floyd Manor, a housing project for the elderly & disabled located near our Charleston office.

Disrupting the Giving Model:

Somehow Boomers always seem to be there when great new ideas break ground. As members of the planning committee, we decided the Carolina Youth Development Center (America’s oldest orphanage) could use a little more FUN in their fundraiser. And since then every year BoomTown employees attend the event as the characters from that year’s theme. Here’s our crew as the Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory team!

All In for Tech Opportunities:

We know that technology education initiatives bring the skills our students need for the new economy. Each year we participate in the annual Charleston Digital Corridor iFiveK in support of closing the digital divide. Here’s BoomTown Red-White & Boom theme team competing in the after - race dance off portion of the iFivek Spirit Award….we won.

Coding in Our Neighborhoods

With BoomTown’s help, Charleston Women in Tech launched a free after school computer science lab in a landromat.

News of the effort spread & was covered by CNN Business, Upworthy & even garnered a couple of tweets from Eric Schmidt & Mike Seivert!
